The Urological Association of Asia (UAA) is a regional professional body whose central mission is to advance the discipline of urology and to enhance the quality of care delivered to patients across Asia, a region that encompasses approximately sixty percent of the world's population. At present, the Association is composed of 25 national member societies, collectively representing a network of more than 25,000 practicing urologists.

Beyond its annual congress, which serves as the flagship scientific gathering, the UAA is actively engaged in a broad range of educational and professional development initiatives. These are coordinated primarily through the Asian School of Urology (ASU) and its affiliated subspecialty organizations: the Asian Society of Endourology (ASE), the Asian Society of Female Urology (ASFU), the Asian Association for Urinary Infections and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (AAUS), the Asian Society of Uro-oncology (APSU), and the Asia-Pacific Society of Reconstructive Urologists and Andrological Surgeons (AP-SRUAS). Together, these groups provide structured platforms for scientific exchange, training, and the dissemination of best practices in subspecialty fields.

The UAA also maintains close collaborative relationships with leading international urological bodies. These include the International Consultations on Urological Diseases (ICUD), the Societe Internationale d'Urologie (SIU), the American Urological Association (AUA), the European Association of Urology (EAU), and the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ). Such partnerships facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise, strengthen the Association's global linkages, and ensure that advances in science and clinical practice are effectively integrated into the Asian context.
